The British Safety Council has launched its ‘Keep Thriving’ Campaign aimed at improving employee wellbeing. This initiative encourages employers to proactively engage in enhancing their workplace environments.
Objectives of the Keep Thriving Campaign
As part of the ‘Keep Thriving’ campaign, the British Safety Council is asking employers to:
- Appoint an Executive Director responsible for wellbeing, who will act as a sponsor for driving change
- Actively engage employees to identify effective workplace wellbeing interventions.
- Adopt a holistic approach to health, safety, and wellbeing, that focuses on training people to enable prevention and avoid poor wellbeing.
Key Publications of the Keep Thriving Campaign
Several pivotal documents have been published by the Council in support of the ‘Keep Thriving’ campaign. These include a Keep Thriving Manifesto, Wellbeing Positioning Paper and details of a their Being Well Together programme.
Webinar Resources
If you would like to watch back on demand our recent webinar ‘why we’re seeing an increasing need to support Long-Term Sickness’, we cover initiatives that employers can use to focus on supporting employees who are on long-term absence, as well as preventative measures. We also ran a webinar last year ‘Mental health in the workplace – your questions answered’ that focusses specifically on mental wellbeing.
