The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is due to come into effect from May 2018 and to help you with compliance, HR Solutions have several webinars and interactive workshops planned for you.
From January to May 2018 our HR events include free monthly webinars as well as half day and full day interactive workshops on GDPR and topical employment issues. These events will offer you tools, resources and practical guidance on GDPR compliance as well as a range of HR topics and updates in relation to employment law. Over the past few months we have been updating you in relation to GDPR in our news updates with articles that vary from relating to understanding if you ‘are ready for GDPR‘, to ‘How to prepare for GDPR, as well as some other topical articles in relation to data breaches and associated fines.
We have also created a dedicated ‘GDPR and HR Tooklit’ page on our website as well as developed a free GDPR Risk Audit to help point you in the right direction.
GDPR Interactive Workshops
The aims of the workshops are to provide you with an overview of GDPR and how it relates to employee data; to enable you to understand the data you hold; and to provide you with practical guidance as to what you need to do with the data you hold. Throughout the full day interactive workshops, on 22 February and 19th April, we discuss the different aspects of the incoming General Data Protection Regulation, as well as provide attendees with a work book that we go through with them in a practical manner. By the end of the full day workshop delegates are able to understand the data they hold in more detail, and have a plan of action to take back to their organisation. With the half day interactive workshops, we thought it would be helpful to run sessions, on 25th January and 22nd March, where we go back to the beginning and provide key practical tips as it actually seems that awareness of GDPR may still not be as widespread as we would have expected.

GDPR Webinars (Free)
For our free one hour live webinars, HR Solutions have devised a straight forwards, five-step programme for GDPR compliance. We are running a webinar for each step, each month, starting in January and finishing in May when the Regulation is mandatory. If you feel that you already have some steps covered, the webinars will be a useful sense check and a great opportunity for you to ask questions you still have in order to tie up any loose ends.
GDPR Risk and Compliance Audit (Free)
Get a bespoke report with key action points to consider to be HR and GDPR compliant. HR Solutions will conduct a free GDPR Risk and Compliance Audit for you which involves you answering a few questions using our online audit and should only take 10-15 minutes to complete. Once the audit is complete a HR Advisor will review your responses, and compile a report for you with key action points to consider taking.
