A study conducted by Bloom UK has revealed that over 90% of women have encountered mental health challenges due to inadequate work-life balance. The survey, which targeted 704 women in the marketing and communications sector, explored their perceptions of work-life balance and its impact on their personal well-being.
According to the findings, more than two-fifths (43%) of participants reported experiencing symptoms of stress, anxiety, or burnout as a result of imbalanced work-life dynamics. Furthermore, over half (54%) admitted to frequently feeling overwhelmed by their workloads.
The study highlighted that poor work-life balance has also taken a toll on the physical health of more than four out of five women (83%) surveyed. Experts note that the distinction between work and personal life is becoming increasingly blurred, underscoring the urgent need for employers to intervene and address this issue.
